Why the acronym M&A?
Why is the acronym M&A for Mergers and Acquisitions? Why it is not instead A&M (Acquisitions and Mergers) following an alphabetical order? Is it because there are more mergers than acquisitions?
Sorry for this stupid question, but I could not find the answer on Google.
Thank you very much in advance.
Because it rolls of the tongue? Don't know.
It sounds better....
The order of words is due to correct syntax; more specifically the stylistically correct use of English. The stylistically correct sequence of any numbered list, when you are listing two or more things in written form, follows a least-syllable to most-syllable order.
