Will Trump Re-Nominate Yellen as Fed Chair?
I got this as an interview question earlier today, and wanted to see what you all think about it. Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen's term ends in February 2018, and President Trump can decide to either keep her or bring in someone new. Yellen was selected by Obama in 2014.
I said that Trump probably will keep her in office. With the Fed meeting that happened on September 20, it will be Yellen's master plan going forward - but Yellen needs to still be in office to see it through. Bringing in someone new to either pick up where she left off or change course altogether probably isn't a good idea.
