Willis Capital Markets and Advisory
Hello Monkeys,
Does anyone have any useful/concrete information on them? They're the boutique investment banking/advisory arm of Willis - a massive reinsurance broker. I was hard pressed to find anything on them on the web or on this site (I don't think there is any information on them whatsoever)
Helpful information would be:
- Culture
- Size of team/quality of team
- Deal Flow
- Comp. (Analyst/Associate)
- Interview (Interview Questions)
- Exit Opps
- Reputation
Thanks.
PM me for more info but for everyone's benefit: Culture - Very intense, long hours and long weekends (you should expect this but it's a nice bonus when you find a firm with better hours) Size/Quality - ~25 guys if I remember right Deal Flow - All insurance deals obviously, some reinsurance it sounded like Comp. - Street Interview - About prior experience and valuation, not insurance industry specific Exit Opps - Unknown by me, not sure there Reputation - Not well known on the street (it's a relatively new team over there) but not necessarily a bad thing
Thanks a lot.
+1 SB
I am in the process of PMing you as well.
Bump. Wondering if anyone else has some more information.
Likewise. Can we bump this?
Bump
Still interested

Any thoughts on Willis? There's not much on them so far.
Be great to get some insights on: management culture dealflow comp leadership exit opps
I found this guy (LiboredMonks) 's reply on a similar question in 2012, I added something new according to what I've known so far:
Culture - Very intense, long hours and long weekends (you should expect this but it's a nice bonus when you find a firm with better hours) Size/Quality/management - ~25 guys if I remember right (32 people now I believe, led by Michael Guo in HK and Rafal Walkiewicz in NY, Walkiewicz is a pretty experienced investment banker, used to work for Goldman) Deal Flow - All insurance deals obviously, some reinsurance it sounded like Comp. - Street Interview - About prior experience and valuation, not insurance industry specific Exit Opps - Unknown by me, not sure there Reputation - Not well known on the street (it's a relatively new team over there) but not necessarily a bad thing
I am going to intern for them at their HK office this summer. Very excited about it!
