Within Business Operations, BlackRock’s Global Provider Strategy (“GPS”) team is responsible for leveraging BlackRock’s scale, industry knowledge, and risk management capabilities to build and expand partnerships with leading financial institutions, market data and index providers achieving the delivery of high quality service to our firm’s clients. To achieve each of these goals, GPS develops and implements a forward looking provider strategy designed to increase operational efficiency, provide risk and cost transparency, and provide flexibility as our business evolves, leading to an enhanced client experience. To manage our relationships, GPS executes a global provider governance model that combines quantitative and qualitative components, encompasses a consistent engagement program between BlackRock and our partners, mitigates operational risks, and sets parameters for the selection of new partners.

We are seeking a team-oriented individual who can immediately add value to the GPS team, and its internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be someone with a financial services background, some service-provider related experience and the ability to multi-task. This position will require assisting with the execution of all Global Provider Strategy functional objectives, along with helping to continuously drive the team forward.

Superior skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Principal Responsibilities:
Partner with GPS and various internal stakeholders on BAU projects designed to last the term of the internship
Support all levels of personnel within all aspects of the GPS organizational structure (ISS, IDS, Governance and Business Management) as they focus upon their primary 2015 objectives
Track and communicate within GPS, industry trends and market intelligence
Help create presentations and communications pieces as-needed
