WSO, I need your help
I am a sophomore at a non-target and have developed a strong interest in trading recently. I am currently a finance major but I plan on dual majoring in one of the following:
-Applied Math (would involve me staying in school extra semester and taking more hours during my regular semester in order to catch up)
-CompSci (same situation as above)
-Accounting (would not involve me staying in school an extra semester, and can still graduate on time without overloading myself)
-Economics (relatively same as accounting)
Which double major should I choose for a job in S&T? I have relatively little programming experience.
If a double major in two of the options above rather than a major in finance is more beneficial, which of the two options above should I choose?
ALSO: I also have an interest in IBD, so I don't want to completely isolate myself away from receiving an offer in that department, if that makes a difference.
Thanks guys, all advice is appreciated
thanks guys lol
network, learn trading & the markets, practice trading applied math & comp sci would be better majors but its up to you if its worth staying an extra sem in school
why don't you stay with the finance major & add applied math or comp sci courses? or get a minor? You could also take the courses you need & if you don't get a job by graduation just finish off the major with an extra semester and apply again.
Is the added benefit/difficulty of having applied math or comp sci on the resume worth the time & effort?
