Yacht Week, British Virgin Islands

It's on March 14-21. Bunch of my b-school bros are going for spring break, and I'm thinking of joining them. Wondering if any other current MBA students are also thinking of going.

Sorry to call you out @"mbavsmfin" but.....Direct quote from you in a similar thread in 2013 that I just stumbled upon. "Sounds lame to me. Bunch of MBA douchebags and mediocre looking MBA girls going on an overpriced yacht trip when they don't have income coming in. Give me a fucking break." Funny how things change eh?

Only relevant for those Columbia idiots, everyone knows the Booth bros and babes are the coolest, hottest people around!

Edit: That whole thread ( http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/pre-mba-greek-islands-and-yacht-w… ) has a lot of choice Brady quotes about getting an MBA and how it's not that great. Love the different tune now.

Wow, Brady caught way out here hahaha

Originally: "Sounds lame to me. Bunch of MBA douchebags and mediocre looking MBA girls going on an overpriced yacht trip when they don't have income coming in. Give me a fucking break." "I think yacht week will be on par with the craziest parties you would find at say usc, arizona, asu, ut austin. Looking forward to it."

Two months later: "It's not just MBA students who will be there. Lot of rich successful alphas from all over the world and of course, tons of hot chicks. It's going to be truly epic on all fronts." "Yacht week>>>>>>>>>>any undergrad party in America."

Nice find @"tengleha" I am not sure if OP understands how these yacht weeks work. Generally, you pay an admission price and walk around looking at yachts you will never be able to afford. Most of the time you cannot even get on the nice yachts without a broker or an appointment. A bunch of random MBA students will also not be invited to any of the nighttime events. Seems like a waste of time to me. I would rather go somewhere else for spring break.

I believe you're mistaken. I've know people who've done this. You round up a small group of people with at least 50% girls and rent out one yacht in a large fleet. The fleet travels around the region (BVI, Croatia, Greece) for a week and you just party flat out the entire time.

You must be thinking of something else. These aren't actual yachts - they're catamarans for the most part I think. It's like a grand for a week.

My bad. You fellas are correct as I was thinking of something else. My experience with "yacht week" has been people bringing their 150+ meter superyachts for a week long show where people buy, sell, and tour the yachts and go to parties. The http://www.theyachtweek.com/concept/ actually sounds like a cool concept if you roll with a good crew. @"StJamesPark"
