Books about oil trading

wso1oiltrade.jpg

In this group I create a platform to advise eachother about good books related to the oil market. Many people being new in the business are looking for books, they want to learn and know how business works. Learn from pratise is maybe the biggest advise. But live becomes easier when we can get more background available to eachother. Tell what book you would advise and why. Let us know that author and give a link where to find information about the book. I hope this group will be able the generate a great "library" for the oil business.

The Trading library needs a bit of more books. I got the advice to add "The Prize" from Daniel Yergin. It had lots of good recommendations on Amazon. The book was published in December 2008 but still popular.

The trading book list contains now 6 books, but I am sure that more should be added please give me your input. Which book shall we add next time?

Recommended by traders on Wallstreet Oasis:

1) The Oil Traders' Words by Stefan van Woenzel at www.woenzel.com
2) Oil101 by Morgan Downey
3) The Everything Guide to Commodity Trading by David Borman
4) Trading Natural gas by Fletcher Sturm
5) The King of Oil: The Secret Lives of Marc Rich by Daniel Ammann
6) The Prize by Daniel Yergin

Great to see input to this group. I like to list the following book advises of our group members:
1) The Oil Traders' Words by Stefan van Woenzel at www.woenzel.com
2) Oil101 by Morgan Downey
3) The Everything Guide to Commodity Trading by David Borman
4) Trading Natural gas by Fletcher Sturm
5) The King of Oil: The Secret Lives of Marc Rich by Danie Ammann

Looking forward to more input to the trading library. I will post an updated list once in a while and add a book. This time I added The King of Oil, a very impressive story about Marc Rich. Which trader has not heard about him? Learn from history!

Oil101 is a great book about where oil is coming from and how it is traded, how does it work and how are prices set. Great learning. Author is Morgan Downey. Would fit very good together with my book where many definitions are explained as well.

So now we have:
1) The Oil Traders' Words at www.woenzel.com
2) Oil101 from Morgan Downey

Please add a book advise related to oil trading in this group.
