DESCRIPTION

Support senior equity research analyst in industry and bank research. This includes industry research, writing research reports, financial statement analysis, and equity evaluation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct financial modeling and analysis. Prepare earnings forecast, evaluate balance sheets and cash flow.

Valuation of equity securities

Assist research analyst(s) in selecting and evaluating banks that are candidates for investment recommendations.

Assist analyst(s) in preparing reports, financial analyses, and forecasts on potentially promising investment ideas that may be included in various Research Department publications.

Travel, periodically, to visit the senior management members of banks that have been proven to be candidates for Research Department coverage.

Disseminate information on assigned banks through various publications, which are distributed internally, to clients and to the public.

Communicate investment recommendations and updates on existing recommendations to the sales professionals through oral presentations and assist them in communicating the recommendations to their clients.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years as an associate equity research analyst covering financial institutions. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of:

1. Writing Skills
2. Knowledge of the sector, US Banks
3. Modeling Skills

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar from a four-year college or university required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Series 7 and 63 desired. Will be required to obtain within six months of employment.
