Are you experienced in working with hedge funds? Are you working towards or completed your CPA or PA?

We are currently seeking a Hedge Fund Accountant position for a top New York City investment bank to assist in the trading of various investment securities, calculating asset valuations, and the preparation of tax reports and schedules.

Hedge Fund Accountant Responsibilities:

Trading products and securities dealing with offshore hedge funds
Preparing monthly Net Asset Valuations to report activity to investors
Arrange tax schedules and reports to assist in the production of tax returns and financial statements
Handling the payments of hedge fund fees and expenses
Handling ad hoc reporting requests from fund managers and investors
Calculating management and performance fees to be paid to hedge fund managers and appropriate gains and losses amongst investors

Hedge Fund Accountant Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required
CPA or PA in progress or completed
3 or more years of experience with hedge funds
Must have working knowledge of investment products and concepts and the ability to explain them
Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize
Sharp analytical and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with many clients and managers and their various needs
MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE US

This Hedge Fund Accountant role is a consulting position that is expected to last at least 6 months with possible extension and pays an annualized salary of $135,200 ($65 per hour).
