Successful and growing full-service investment banking firm is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its national institutional and high net worth equity sales force. This is an excelllent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience to gain unique and valuable experience in institutional equity sales and trading with a well established, marquis sector specialist investment banking boutique.

Our client’s investment executives have extensive history serving the largest money managers, insurance companies, mutual funds and institutional investors in the United States. They have earned their trust through exhaustive research and by providing ideas and opportunities that are unique to their trading desk. Their people specialize in increasing the visibility of community banks and their management teams. They are regularly engaged in institutional road shows, investor days, conferences and one-on-ones to help introduce their bank clients to the largest pools of institutional money. With these relationships, the firm has the ability to distribute equity, convertibles, trust preferred’s and debt, both through public offerings and private placements.
Job Description:
Responsibilities will include maintaining, existing and establishing new institutional relationships. In addition, the candidate will develop relationships with community banks and thrifts or the high net worth individuals associated with these organizations.
The person in this position will interact on a regular basis with the firm’s bank clients. Whatever a client’s unique needs, the role of this position is focused on delivering value and providing the highest service. The firm spends extensive time working to increase the visibility of their banking clients in their local communities. This is accomplished by providing liquidity to bank shareholders and customers in even the most illiquid names. The investment executives also help facilitate share repurchase programs; using their contacts both institutionally and locally, they have found success working with clients in executing share buybacks.
The person in this role will also be committed to providing the same level of professionalism and service to individual clients that their largest institutional clients enjoy. The equity sales person will work with many bank directors and executives, as well as high net worth individuals, who understand the long-term benefits of investing in high quality community banking organizations.
General Requirements:
To be successful, candidates must be highly motivated with two or more years experience in the institutional equities securities sales business, have in-depth knowledge of buy-side and sell-side distribution, possess strong communication skills and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the community bank and thrift business or financial services industry is preferred, but not required. Some travel may be required.
Professional Requirements:
Individual must possess Series 7 and 63 licenses.
