Candlewood Partners, LLC is seeking a full-time candidate for its Analyst position in Cleveland, Ohio. The position is available immediately to support the firm’s merger and acquisition advisory and restructuring and distressed advisory activities. The Analyst position will support senior bankers in transaction execution, as well as development of new business proposals (i.e. pitch books). Additional responsibilities include development of financial models (including DCF and LBO models), comparable company and precedent transaction analyses, preparation of offering memoranda, management/investor presentations, industry research, and other research necessary to support project teams.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills and be enthusiastic and committed to the investment banking industry. Candlewood is interested in candidates who have already gained Analyst experience at another investment bank or have worked in private equity or in a corporate development role.
•B.B.A, B.A. or B.S. degree (Finance or Accounting concentration preferred)
•Prior Analyst experience
•Thorough understanding of fundamentals and investment banking transaction processes
•Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, financial statement relationships, and business valuation methodologies
•Excellent financial modeling skills (including DCF and LBO models)
•Strong analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills
•Self-starter and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
•Ability to multi-task assignments
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Familiarity with financial databases such as Capital IQ , FactSet, etc.
•Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
