Brookwood Associates is a Southeastern based investment banking firm that provides merger and acquisition, private placement, restructuring and other advisory services to middle market companies. The seven principals of the firm have completed transactions of aggregate value of more than $17 billion and each has significant experience at top Wall Street firms. Clients include leading private equity firms, public companies and privately owned companies. The firm’s transaction size typically ranges from $20 – $250 million.
The firm’s senior professionals are very involved in deal execution. Brookwood strategically selects high quality clients and transactions, employing a high touch, low volume business model. We develop longstanding client relationships, and over 50% of our deal flow is driven by repeat business from clients or referrals from clients.
Job description: Associates spend approximately 80% of their time executing active engagements. Key responsibilities include: creating financial models, participating in client and investor meetings, performing due diligence on client companies, preparing descriptive memoranda and management presentations, and contacting prospective buyers or investors.
The position provides the opportunity for considerable interaction with the senior management at both Brookwood and client companies and involvement with key transaction issues. There is solid opportunity for career advancement for top candidates. Hours are demanding but not at Wall Street levels.
Qualifications: MBA from a leading program and solid investment banking experience. Strong analytical, team, client, and communication skills. Desire to contribute to building a very high quality middle market investment banking firm based in the Southeastern U.S.
