Investment Banking Associate - Consumer/Retail

Middle market investment bank in Chicago is seeking experience Associates with experience in the Consumer and Retail sector.

Associates are assigned to a variety of projects and are given a broad range of responsibilities, some of which include:

•Managing and assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations
•Creating client marketing presentations
•Attending client meetings
•Conducting industry and company-specific due diligence related to transactions
•Drafting memoranda for sale assignments
•Assisting in the preparation of fairness opinions
•Attending drafting sessions for equity offerings
•Creating marketing materials for our equity sales organization
•Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships
•Developing an understanding of the underlying trends that affect equity capital markets
•Gaining an understanding of the interests and investment criteria of a number of middle-market private equity firms
Candidates for the program will posses the following qualifications: •A strong work ethic, detail orientation and a passion for excellence
•Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles
•The ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings
•An MBA or JD from a top-tier school
•A working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software programs

Compensation: 
105k base + bonus
