Our client, an event driven hedge fund with 2B under management, is seeking a Private Equity analyst as it is growing its PE arm.
The analyst will be analyzing deals from a variety of industries including power, carbon credits, and insurance. The firm has a lot of deal flow due to its reputation and senior management. The analyst will be managing the current portfolio and new investments, including writing investment memos for the committee, doing thorough due diligence, and modeling. The hedge fund is fast paced, and deals are done rather quickly, versus a PE shop where deals take months.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years in investment banking, private equity or hedge funds, buy side experience preferred
- Excellent modeling, due diligence skills
- Degree from top school
- True spark, passion for being on the buy side
- Good balance between quick decision making and attention to details
- Desire to be in a hedge fund, fast paced environment
