Top multi-billion dollar international equities investment fund seeks a Research Assistant to support two equity research analysts in their San Francisco office. This role requires incredible organizational skills, as well as someone who is proactive, resourceful and team-oriented.

* Assist in coordinating meetings with the sell-side brokers and public companies
* Coordinate travel (primarily international) and maintain analyst calendars, process expense reports; answer and direct calls to appropriate analyst
* Assist analysts and their associates in tracking portfolio companies and their quarterly earnings calls and daily news
* Prepare company background packages for upcoming meetings with executive management teams
* Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and assist with updating financial models
* Perform company specific and industry research
* Team is in process of hiring another senior analyst to be based in New York, which this assistant will likely support as well
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Exposure to Bloomberg, FactSet and other financial databases
* Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
* Strong judgment and the ability to work independently but also know when to ask for help
* Strong team skills and the ability to work in a small team/office environment and willingness to help with daily office tasks and routine projects on an as needed basis
* Must have at least 2 years of previous experience in equity research at a buy-side or sell-side firm
* College degree and strong GPA

-Hours - 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime (early and late hours, as necessary)
-Compensation - Depends on previous experience. Base salary + overtime paid over 40 hours per week + discretionary year end performance bonus.
