Based in New York City, we are a new startup advisory firm in turnaround, workouts, restructuring, bankruptcy, and distressed M&A with immediate opportunities at the analyst level for the summer. We are ramping up our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) focused on small commercial banks, credit unions, and specialty finance.

We are specifically seeking applicants with experience in bank valuation or M&A / private equity rollups of commercial banks. Ideally the applicant will have experience building financial models of commercial banks (including M&A models), and/or writing confidential information memorandums (CIMs) for bank M&A, and/or writing Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs) for commercial banks.

You must possess some investment banking experience at a bulge bracket, top tier middle market investment bank, or M&A boutique. Please do not apply unless you have actual experience in M&A, FIG, commercial bank M&A or private equity rollups of commercial banks. Other relevant experience can include bank valuation, commercial bank management, or strategy consulting for commercial banks.

You must have actual prior experience writing such investment banking documents as a Private Placement Memorandum (PPM), Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM), or business plan. You must understand bank valuation.

Recent grads and alums are welcome to apply. But you must be available for personal interviews in New York City at your own expense.

Start date for this summer internship is immediate. Salary is negotiable based upon experience. Borderline / entry level candidates are eligible for 100% commission pay. A fulltime opportunity is available to a top performing summer intern.
