Our client is a $4.2 Billion Investment Management Firm with a 27 year track record, offering separately-managed small cap value, small cap core, small cap growth, and mid cap value products for institutional investors and to a lesser degree, high net worth individuals

The firm is populated with individuals who are intensely focused on achieving high performance, but in a collegial and respectful environment. We are a seeking an intrinsically motivated, intelligent, and experienced analyst who is an independent thinker to cover the technology sector.

Job Description
Responsibilities will include idea generation within the Technology sector, delivering superior returns through bottoms up, fundamental equity analysis with a focus on valuation.

• Conduct in depth research of small cap technology (hardware/computers & peripherals) stocks to uncover companies with attractive fundamentals
• Uncover promising small cap Technology opportunities that are inefficiently priced through extensive analysis including: screening earnings reports, modeling prospective and existing portfolio companies and dissemination of all key company information
• Add value to the individual products by finding opportunities in the technology sector with a unique perspective, consistently demonstrating an “against the herd” mentality
• Conduct due diligence through one on one meetings with management teams as well as conference calls
• Make clear and concise investment recommendations to the portfolio team
• Travel a minimum of 1-2 times per quarter to attend meetings, conferences and to visit companies.

Qualifications
• Strong understanding of the technology sector
• Demonstrated track record of making profitable investment recommendations
• Demonstrated track record of achieving success via non-consensus investment behavior
• Minimum five years experience as an analyst (buy side or sell side)
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Strong work ethic
