First time poster here. I've got an offer from Accenture SI, no plans to get into consulting in the future. My end goal is as an actuary as an insurance company, but entry level actuarial market is a bit tough right now, so I need something to do while studying and passing my preliminary exams. I do have prior IB and actuarial internships

Accenture SI wouldn't really help me much in terms of getting an actuarial job, so I'm wondering if anyone knows how hard it would be to try and move into a risk management/analytics/finance role at Accenture from SI? How hard would a finance role be without an MBA? I'm currently interviewing for 2 other companies as well, 1 finance and 1 actuarial, and am hoping to hear back from those companies soon.

Has anyone applied TW this year or before?

I had an on campus interview about 5 weeks ago. Although during the interview, they told me they would get back to me in 1 to 3 weeks, I have not heard from them yet......

I checked my online application status, it is considering.
I have also applied some other positions with TW, but they are either not selected or application received.

Anyone knows what's going on?

i passed the actuarial exam 1 and i wanted to know if i should write that on my resume. I am a rising sophomore at a non-target school majoring in finance and minoring in mathematics.

Im mainly trying to go into investment banking but am writing the exams though I am not planning on going into actuary.should i write this on resume or does it look bad when bankers see it?

Also, do actuarials go into investment banking, if they could? Does it give them an advantage do u think compared to others?

  • I guess this is kind of like the chicken or the egg argument, but I'm curious to see how people respond. From your personal experiences, have you chosen where you would like to live first, then go about finding a job in that area, or has it been more along the lines of taking the best offer...
