CFA® needed for HF?
I am an undergrad at a lower Ivy. The pool of competition over the years has gotten fiercer and the opportunities for HF have gotten smaller. With the pool getting that much bigger, how much would a CFA® stand out for HF?
Studying for CFA®: Learning Ecosystem vs. Prep Provider
For studying purposes for CFA® Level I (or any level), what's the best way to study: 1) Prep Provider (e.g., Kaplan, Bloomberg, AnalystPrep, etc.), 2) Learning Ecosystem (that comes with CFA® registration), or 3) combo of both ? And if it's a combo, how do you best use both systems together?...
Important Information About Your CFA® Exam Results - Calculating the MPS
Well monkeys, it sure was fun not worrying about the CFA® exam for a couple weeks. But, I'm sure that like me, you all got that special email last night telling everyone to restart their freak out until July 23rd. Thanks, CFA® Institute, that's just what my summer needs. I remember last year,...
Consulting Firm CFA® Reimbursement Policies?
Hi everyone, What are the reimbursement policies for the CFA at top consulting firms (MBB, Big 4, etc.)? Do top firms pay for prep materials and time off to study, or just the exam? My understanding is that MBB treats the CFA like the GMAT / GRE and is very supportive, is that right? Thanks!
HP 12C Stock Price Question
Hello, I recently misplaced my TI-84C and have an HP 12C that I seldom use (only during summer internships) as I am in undergrad right now. The exam I will be taking this week has a question on stock pricing and was wondering if any one could help me figure out what functions are used for the...
CFA® Question Resources
I'm preparing for the CFA® Level 1 later this year, and though I feel comfortable with most of the finance components after having worked for a few years, the ethics questions have been throwing me. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good question resources for the CFA® program, in...

Good Luck CFA® Candidates!
Well, we are now just a few days from test time for the CFA® exams and I don't doubt that everyone is super excited and fully prepared! Okay, that's probably an overstatement as most are probably anxious and feel like there's still plenty left to master. Going into CFA® level 2 redux, I can...
Retaking a CFA® Exam - Fun or Super Fun?
Ah, everyone loves CFA® exam time and we're definitely getting to crunch time. For those of you taking the test, you're sitting in one of two categories: taking an exam level for the first time, or taking an exam level for the second, third, fourth, etc. time. I've come to notice that much of the...
CFA® level 2 - Ethics
How do you guys study for the ethics section on the CFA® level 2 exam? I feel like there are so many details they can test you on, such as when is an approval required, does the approval need to be in writing or not etc. Does anyone have a good summary of these details, i.e. mainly a summary of...
Congrats & Hooray! No More CFA®! (...for now)
Happy CFA® break time, monkeys! Boy, what a ride Saturday was, right? We are done, for the time being at least, and wow, that is a great relief. How did everyone's exam go? I can say, with a high degree of certainty, that I've never had more inopportune bathroom breaks then I did on Saturday. We'll...
How did the CFA® exam go for you?
So how'd it go? Feel confident that you passed? Any surprises? Any interesting stories (ie somebody fainting)? Anything you wish you had studied up more on (or less)?

To all those who passed level 3 of the CFA exam, congratulations! I am very happy for you! But please spare a thought for me, because I was not so lucky! It would be great if some of you successful guys could give me some ideas about the kind of lifestyles you led up until the successful day. I...
CFA® Test T-17 days
I hope some of you are as anxious as I am for the CFA® test on June 2nd, granted I probably have spent more time worrying about the exam than I have actually studied for it. I've heard that the best way to study is to do 1000's of exam practice questions but I would like to get some input from you...

A part from posting quick summaries of the topics I share interesting articles which relate to the the topics covered...
Assumptions of the Multiple Linear Regression Model
The model is based on 6 assumptions. When these assumptions are hold the regression estimators are unbiased, efficient & consistent. Unbiased means that the expected value of the estimator is equal to the true value of the parameter. Efficient means that the estimator has a smaller variance....
CFA® For Sale
Does anyone have the CFA® level 1 study materials that they are willing to sell, or do you know where to get them cheap? I am trying to get a head start on studying, so I can take the exam as soon as possible.
CFA® Study Group in Boston

Can I take the CFA® multiple times under the same fee
I have a simple question, which has been less than simple to find an answer to. I'm sure someone on here will know. Can I take the CFA® exam (Level 1 specifically) more than once under the same fee if I do not pass the first time? So, if I take the exam this coming December and do not pass, can I...
Big 4 - CFA®
Do the Big 4 firms (esp their financial advisory units) pay or chip in for their analysts to take or pass the CFA® Exams? I.e. do they have incentive programs in place similar to those for the CPA license? TIA
