CNN:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) --

More than one in seven Americans are on food stamps, but the federal government wants even more people to sign up for the safety net program.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has been running radio ads for the past four months encouraging those eligible to enroll.

The department is spending between $2.5 million and $3 million on paid spots, and free public service announcements are also airing. The campaign can be heard in California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and the New York metro area.

The faux journalism of Soledad O'Brien

Jesus christ. This video infuriates me. Joel Pollak is making a perfectly valid point about critical race theory and the connection between obama and derrick bell, and soledad o'brien (a media shrill for Obama) resorts into belittling him in an attempt to avoid discussing the actual issue. What's hilarious is that Pollak actually went to harvard law and was endorsed by Alan Dershowitz when he ran for congress in 2010.

I don't think breitbart's videos will change the dynamics of the 2012 race, but it's important to know just how radical obama's intellectual roots are. The media did not properly vet obama in 2008 because they were obsessed with having the first black president.

When A Famous Person Dies, I Say...

When a famous person dies, what goes through your head? Fans and admirers will think, “Oh no, what happened?” Casual observers will probably think, “Not a fan, but RIP.” A few cold-hearted folks will think, “Good riddance, serves you right.”

For me though, the first thought isn’t any of the above, but a cynical, “Yeah, right.” Not because I’m in shock or denial, mind you, but because I literally don’t believe the story. It happened when I heard the news about Whitney Houston last week, it happened with Kim Jong Il before that, with Michael Jackson before that, and likely will continue to happen.

So I was looking at this article. I understand the public hating the banking community, but I really don't feel as though everything is portrayed accurately. Sure, there are individual bankers that may have taken part in stuff during the years leading up to the recession. But I believe the media really skews what was actually done to the public's favor, making it look as though there are "bad guys". Look at the picture in this article. It made me laugh.
