Originally I was going to pm this to Eddie, however I don't have the banana credits to do so. Being that this is the next laziest option, I settled on making it an open letter:

First off, I wanted to say I really enjoy the content and candor of your blog, it makes for very entertaining reading, and I always look forward to your next post.

Out of curiosity I took a quick look at how much Net Revenue is generated by an individual employee across GS, MS, Google, and Apple.
--GS net revenue per employee is about ~50% lower than google and ~40% lower than apple.
--MS net revenue per employee is about ~30% lower than google and ~20% lower than apple.

Most recent quarter net revenues were annualized and compared to total employees -- full-time, temps, part-time. Net interest income was included for GS and MS, and excluded for Google and Apple (non-operating, not truly driven by employees).

NSFW : Drinking Episode

Andy note: "Blast from the past - Best of Eddie" - This one is originally from December 2011 . If there's an old post from Eddie you'd like to see up again shoot me a message.

WSO,

This is Part 2 of 2 (see part 1 here) of my Exclusive Interview with Edmundo Braverman. To be brutally-fucking-honest these interviews are a treasure trove distilled with wisdom from a guy who has lived the life and seen it all, the highs and lows, the glories and the tragedies. I never conduct interviews and am no journo scum, frankly most people are not even worth listening to. But what I gathered from Eddie by watching NSFW and reading his various articles was that this man had a story to tell and had to be interviewed. EB I would like to thank you for the opportunity and trusting me with this, even though we are complete strangers.

Without further ado, I present to you Eddie Braverman:

Andy note: "Best of Eddie" - while Eddie is on vacation we're throwing up some of his classic posts from the past. This one is originally from March 2010 . If there's an old post from Eddie you'd like to see up again shoot me a message.

A friend of mine tipped me off to this curious "movement", and it made me wonder if I could make it 24 hours without technology. I'm speaking of the Sabbath Manifesto, encouraging people to unplug their computers, shut off their cell phones and blackberries, no Facebook, Twitter, or any Internet sites, for 24 hours. It's an intriguing thought, but I wonder if it is even possible in IB. The assigned time frame is sunset on Friday March 19 until sunset on Saturday March 20.

When I first entered the work force, computers were something you used to play video games and hire prostitutes (yes, in the early days of dial-up and Compuserve, hookers were web pioneers). Cell phones came later, and you had to carry a battery pack in a satchel that made you look like an extra from Saving Private Ryan. They put out about 10 megawatts of power, and you kept conversations short both because it cost about $5 a minute and you could actually feel a brain tumor forming after 15 seconds.
