I know this isn't new and has been in the news but how is this even possible? Seems kind of ridiculous.

What Is An Income Statement (IS)?

An Income Statement is one of the three financial statements that are used to value a company and to show inflows and outflows of value. The Income Statement lists all operational costs of the business as well as any income. It is always for a period of time (i.e. 1 year).

Some examples of items included on the income statement are:

  • Revenue
  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Research & Development
  • Depreciation & Amortization
  • Earnings Per Share

Private Banking - What is Comp at VP+

It seems like PB entry level comp is in-line with other careers in finance (no need to tell me it is not as high as IB etc.).

What do the VP+ levels make? From my point of view, I do not see why they would start an analyst at 70k +10k bonus, and pay a VP Portfolio Manager 100K + 20k bonus. So I am assuming all in VP level is more $200-300k, with MDs between $300k-3MM, dependant of course on a lot of factors.

Can anyone shed some light on senior comp?

Is there an absolute best job for getting into a top MBA?

I know that business schools will pretty much take people from any type of job as long as they meet their standards blah blah blah, but do any of you guys look at a specific type of job as the absolute best to get into one? pe? entrepreneurial experience? whatever?

From what I've been reading, it sounds like getting into a good pe firm is a pretty good boost for your resume, but I'm wondering what you guys think...

note: I tried searching for threads like this and the results of this thread will not influence my future hopeful career, so save it

Anyone have pro forma income statements/balance sheets created from FS's off yahoo or google finance?

(I know in banking you wouldn't use yahoo/google finance, but this is for an academic model).

Thanks guys,
