Hi guys, I received an email from JP with the aforementioned subject inviting me to an on-site 1 hour interview.

My question is the following: I have already interviewed with the entire team at this location for the role under consideration, so is there a reason as to why they would need to have another interview? Is this what people call a "superday?"

Also, what can I expect at such an interview if I've already had on-site interviews?

I'd really appreciate some feedback regarding this matter.

I received an email from J.P. Morgan inviting me to a 1st round phone interview this week.

My question is, what does it mean that this position is "off-cycle"?

Does this mean the hiring process will be faster than a regular "in-cycle" interview process that normally occurs later in the year?

Does this mean they need a replacement ASAP?

I'm deciding between this and capital markets position at another BB for the summer.

Just been invited to a second round after two first round interviews by desk specific persons. Currently attending to a US university, just wondering what the process is like for US candidates applying to HK. Is second round the final round? (That would be weird because up until now there has been only phone interviews) What should I expect from second round? Competency or technical? First round was competency based (why jpm, why S&T etc)

I have interview with top US bank this week for Equity Trading Research in asset management division..just wondering any advice...

If you may not yet have heard, there has been widespread banking corruption ranging from the Goldman Sach all the way to the J.P. Morgue.

As we speak, the prices of gold and silver are continuously manipulated by huge, private investment banks. Silver is especially significant because of the relatively small size of its market. The Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a U.S. regulatory body, has been investigating this case since early 2010 but has not produced any results.

As of yet, congress has still not imposed the Volcker Rule and the CFTC has failed to impose position limits of 1500 for silver via the derivatives market run on the COMEX.

JPM:
1. The benefits of JP Morgan are obvious: incredible dealflow, brilliant people, great connections to help me move along if I land FT offer.
2. With JPM, if I discover that something didn't work out for the summer, I'll look competitive for full time recruiting from an experience perspective.

For example which ones do more underwriting or M&A, which ones specialize in what industries

I have always wanted to become a trader and eventually work for one of the bigger IB's. I have recently learned about the sales end of the trading business and developed an interest in that particulat sector. I had a few questions:

What exactly does the job consist of?

Would a dual degree in finance and marketing look better then finance and accounting?

How much do these guys make? Are the top guys bringing home 7 figures?
