Hey guys, we've had an increase in spammers that feel inclined to drop some spammy comment and annoying irrelevant links.

I'm spending a bit too much time combing through the forums deleting this shit so was hoping I could enlist a few more mods to help me with the clean up.

I would prefer to see users that have reached Baboon status and shown maturity.

just PM me and if you are approved as a mod you can help with the following:

1. make sure threads are under the right topic (ie interview questions should be in the Get a Job forum)

More Moderators Needed and Trolls

troll

Fellow Primates, I wanted to ask for more moderators to help us moderate the boards.

We have a small group of moderators now and they are doing a good job but it is tough to keep up so I am looking to give moderator status to 10 of the more responsible users with a clean post history to help with the following:

1. Keep forums in the proper place. Interview questions need to go in the Get a Job forum, not Investment Banking forum, for example.

2. Delete double posts or useless comments.

I am also going to start blocking the IPs of some of the more egregious trolls on the board. While they can provide some comic relief from time to time, I think a lot of their jokes are getting old and they are detracting much more than they are adding.

So I just wanted to give the trolls their fair warning. Your IP won't get blocked automatically (yet) but consider yourself on probation if you are one of the Soiled Monkeys.

Thanks,
Patrick

Calling all Potential Moderators and Certified Users

Calling all Moderators and Potential Certified Users

Hey Guys,

As the community grows it has been harder for me to keep up moderating the boards to make sure the threads end up in the proper forum category. (many new or selfish users drop their thread in the IBD forum instead of Get a Job, for example). So this posts has 2 requests.

1. More Moderators to help me manage this problem...you would be allowed to move and/or delete threads but you have to show you are mature enough to handle it. To apply, just send me a private message.

2. More Certified Users. It has been awhile since I asked for the applications for Certified Users so I thought I'd see if there are any out there that want to get Certified. It helps keep clear who already has experience and who is speculating when giving advice. Also, to encourage users to get certified for the time being we will be offering free copies of any of our guides to all of our Certified Users. It's an easy way for us to say thank you for all of the help you guys have been over the years. If you are a Certified User, just e-mail me at wallstreetoasis@wallstreetoasis.com if you want any/all of the guides for free.
