I am currently in the process of updating my resume and adding my new work experience. I would appreciate any help, below are my bullet points:

Government Employee’s Pension Fund
Analyst

• Constructed a scenario model which analyzed the fund’s opportunity cost of deviating from the Board of Trustees’ approved investment manager strategies

• Performed a scenario analysis which modeled the alternate effects of the Pension Obligation Bond (POB) emission on the fund’s investment assets

• Through the use of the System’s actuarial projections, modeled the cash flow deficit accruable to the Central Government once insolvency was reached

I'm a rising senior trying to gauge my chances landing a BB / large boutique in LA or NYC. I'm worried just because coming from a sort-of target school (lower tier ivy), there are kids here that I will be competing against who will have had BB investment banking internships while I've "only" got a boutique experience. Please be blunt and honest with any wording, organization, or other critiques, it would be much appreciated.

I was wondering if there are any self-study tools online or in books (ie. breaking into wallstreet) relating to ibanking skills (modeling,valuation) etc. that could be used to learn about ibanking on your own? Secondly, would it be apporpriate to include any of these things on a resume? Also would other certifcations such as Bloomberg/Capital IQ be helpful?

Is it that detrimental to not have much modeling experience going into FT recruiting from a summer internship at a regional boutique? I'd say that I've gotten a pretty good experience out of this internship (this boutique doesn't offer FT offers to interns), but my modeling experience has been limited to previous deals, basically re-doing old models as exercises, rather than working on live deals. I have a pretty decent understanding of how to create DCF and LBO models now, but I haven't had a chance to apply them to a live project.

Would it look weird to put DCF and LBO modeling experience on my resume while noting that it wasn't for live deals?

I'm posting my résumé for two reasons:

1) Hopefully to have any errors caught and to receive feedback on how to improve my résumé.

2) To get a better idea of what tier of firms I have a realistic shot at. I'm going for investment banking, consulting, and corporate finance positions, but if I don't have a good shot at decent firms, I'll probably pursue a master program, law school, entrepreneurship, teaching English abroad, or something else. Unfortunately, I don't have a clear focus on what career I want to pursue.

Notes about the résumé:
- School is public semi-target along the lines of UT-Austin/Indiana/UNC/
- Public finance internship is with my state's government

I was hoping to get some resume advice for recruiting. I am going to U. Texas at Austin in the fall for a master of accounting and am going to try to go through recruiting for energy banking in Houston. I have a couple specific questions.

1) Is it ridiculous with this resume to try for i-banking?

2) If not, should I try this fall for FT or should I wait a year and do an internship next summer?

Also it would be great to know everything that is wrong with it.

I got lazy and starred the personal infos out, but the workex is all in latest->earliest order.

This is just a general resume, so there's no specific active job intent here - the idea is to see how it holds up to your scrutiny.

Couple concerns I have with my own resume are -

1. Too Short? In order to make it more digestible, I've really tried to cut down the fat on my work ex - the theory being I can add color in the interview phase - has the trimming gone too far?

For some reason the resume subforum isn't loading properly for me. The list of threads does not show up and instead the forum topics section is the leading feature. I've had this problem on three completely different computers. Is this happening to anyone else?

If I was Valedictorian in High School, but I am now 1 year post-college, should I take it off my resume?

Okay so I wrote two VBA programs that cut the process time from about 10 minutes to less than 2 minutes (well more like less than 1 minute)...

But how do I write this (quantitatively) on my resume and not risk sounding douchey- I mean you wouldn't say I cut down the original process time by 500% would you? Or cut down the original process by 5 times (that just sounds weird)?

Right now I have-

Led efforts in writing 2 VBA programs to automate data collecting processes ... (this is the part I need help on) and cut down original process time by 5 times?

There is not any room to put my community service or interests/skills.
