Put up a short poll on a surveymonkey last week to try to get a better idea of where WSO users are concentrated in the US and the world. Think Andy might run an official poll on this in the coming weeks, but thought I'd share the small sample of answers I got. Was interesting to see 38.1% of the sample came from outside the main US and world finance hubs I had listed.

Results (City/ %/ # of responses)

Total responses: 42

Boston 2.4% 1
Charlotte 4.8% 2
Chicago 19.0% 8
Hong Kong 0.0% 0
Houston 2.4% 1
London 4.8% 2
Minneapolis 2.4% 1
New York City 23.8% 10
San Francisco 2.4% 1
Shanghai 0.0% 0
Singapore 0.0% 0
Tokyo 0.0% 0

Other/write-in 38.1% 16 (write-in entries below)

WSO Userbase Survey

Financial Hubs

With the WSO NYC Happy Hour going on tonight, I'm curious as to how WSO's userbase is spread across the US and the world.

I figure the strongest concentration will be in NYC but would be interested in seeing some number/percentages. Could be useful in gauging if there's enough people to have events outside New York.

So if you don't mind sharing your location, I've put together a one question poll below:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/M2YRFWW

I'll leave this open over the weekend and hopefully get some results to share on Monday.

PS: Sayandarula did a ethnicity survey a few months ago which made me curious about locations. Results were definitely not what I expected. Link below.

Awesome

Inspired by a recent employer attractiveness survey, Jorge, an obscure yet devastatingly handsome writer for the world’s premiere finance community, Wall Street Oasis, has decided to run a survey on who are the most attractive CEO’s in Wall Street to work for.

Choosing from over 20 nominees from the world’s top banks, consulting, private equity, and fund management firms, monkeys from all over the world will vote in the comments section which 3 of the top CEOs, fund managers, or directors they want to work with the most.

Why is Wharton Career Survey so noobish looking?

Have you seen Ross School of Business?
http://www.bus.umich.edu/pdf/EmploymentProfile2009...

I thoroughly enjoyed reading through their career survey, and I am apalled by the quality of Wharton Career Survey.
I know we can make it better. Furthermore, How is Ross School of Business average GPA 3.6?
Is there no curve?

Here at Wharton I know it's around 3.2-3.3, and our classes are always curved. Median in a class is 3.0-3.3 if not 2.7 sometimes.

Hey Friends,

I am part of a new Manhattan based start up venture that is trying to reinvent the delivery dining experience for professionals who work late hours in i-banking, consulting, law etc etc. We need to launch our survey in scale on Monday (to a few hundred people), and would love for fellow WSO'ers to be the first ones to take it.

Here's the link to the 4 1/2 minute BETA survey:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=d...

All you need to do is fill it up and hit "submit" at the end. There is also a small section for feedback on the survey if you might have any.

Thanks a bunch for your help everyone! Appreciate it.

I'm writing a paper for a class and I need some rough data on how much people would pay for Excel, Word, etc.
I'd really appreciate it if some of you could fill out my survey - it's really really short:

Thanks a bunch!
