FIG Focused Fund

Curious what everyone's opinions are of the top FIG focused PE funds? I know most of the largest funds (Carlyle, TPG, etc) have raised funds for financials, but more want to hear about funds solely dedicated to financial services. I have heard a lot about JC Flowers, but would love if those on the forum could help me identify other top FIG funds.

Pathway Capital

Hi,

I did a search and couldn't find any information on Pathway Capital. They seem to be a PE fund of funds and was told that they have ~20B AUM from institutional investors.

Does anyone have any experience with them/know their rep/compensation/exit opps? Thanks.

Top 20 healthcare-focused private equity funds?

Hi all -- I have a time sensitive project here and was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I am looking to identify the top 20 healthcare-focused private equity funds based on a variety of metrics, including fund size, returns, number of deals done, and so forth. However, I am having difficulty finding data that covers all of these data points simultaneously. I guess the most important factor is the fund size, but it would be great to find as much performance data on them as possible (IRR, cash-on-cash, etc.).

Can anyone please help? I've already tried Preqin and CapitalIQ but the data seems to often be incomplete. Thanks...

AEA Investors

Hey all, whats the general consensus on AEA Investors (if there is any)? I see on their website they have a pre-MBA Associate program so I was wondering if anyone on here works there or has any knowledge of the firm. Any info would be greatly appreciated, such as recruiting, interviews, culture, compensation, responsibilities, etc.

Also, I see on their website that they have four different funds (PE, Mezz, Middle Market Debt and Small Business). I'd be curious to know if associates were given the opportunity to work across all funds. Especially in these times, I imagine that the debt fund is busier than the PE.. but I could be wrong.

Thanks in advance for any information!

How good is Mercer Investment Consulting?! (I want to go to Ibanking/asset management)

Hi all,

I'm currently a student from a nontarget school who is interning with Mercer Investment Consulting as an Analyst. I'm wondering how good this company is, in terms of setting me up for landing Investment Banking/Asset Management interviews/jobs for future internships or possibly fulltime career.

Yes I know that everything else (e.g. marks, extracurricular, etc) matters. But keeping everything else constant, would this experience be just as beneficial/valuable as a typical front-office internship? The reason I ask is because I can mostly only find feedback on Mercer HR Consulting or Olivia Wyman, but not much on their investment consulting practises. Please advise.

Thanks alot!

Trouble Getting Reimbursed from Reputable PE Firm

I had a PE interview two months ago in Boston. I paid all the expenses and was told that I would be immediately reimbursed for all of the travel, which amounted to around $1,000 given that it was last-minute. I have contacted the HR rep and even one of the interviewers and have not received any reply. Has anyone else experienced this type of treatment? If so, how did you respond?

The sub 300 comp sounds a little low to me.
