GMAT Discounts?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find/or if they even exist, promotions/discounts for GMAT prep programs via Kaplan or Princeton Review?

which one is the real GMAT???

Just decided to study for GMAT today so I went to mba.com and downloaded the software gmatprep and took a practice exam. Bombed it with a 630. I said to myself fine gotta study harder so I went out and bought the official guide book 11th edition.

I flipped through the pages and noticed that the math questions are nothing like the ones from the gmatprep software. The book questions are all straight forward like the SAT questions. The comp generated ones were all like "A. Statement 1 is sufficient. B. Statement 2 is sufficient. C. Either. D. Neither."... Now I'm very confused.

Which is the real type that will appear on the exam?

Well, here comes the GMAT

MBA

To all who have replied to my posts in the past offering information and tips about the GMAT and B-school in general, thanks. The first time I took the GMAT I got a sub 500 score because I had no idea what I was getting into. I studied my ass off the past few months and this past week took multiple practice exams including the essays. My two highest from Manhattan GMAT were 690 and 700. My two scores from GMAT prep were 680 and 690. Lets hope I score around that this Saturday when I take the real thing. I visited the test site to get comfortable with the surroundings and they let me see the scratch pad I would be using. At least I can take solace in the fact that if I don't score greater than 680 I can take it until I do.

Manhattan GMAT CAT

Manhattan GMAT

Okay,

I studied my ass off for months using the Kaplan GMAT 800 and Princeton Review Cracking the GMAT Books. I just took the Manhattan GMAT practice CAT (free download). I got a 580. Should I just give up on my b-school dreams at this point? I really feel like a fucking idiot right now. Maybe I should just stay in the military and be happy with my job security.

I hear some CAT exams are harder than the real one...is that true for Manhattan GMAT's CAT?

I Lied, I didn't get a 799... GMAT Question

I am considering studying for the GMAT over winter break and then potentially taking it when I get back to school. Is 3-4 weeks a reasonable amount of time to devote to the test?

Let's say I take the test and do poorly then take it again and do really well. How is this perceived by B-Schools? Do they average the two scores? Weight them somehow? Just take the highest one? How many times can one take it?

Didn't do too well on this test - especially quant section - is it worth retaking to get 800?
