Dubai

Has anyone out there heard if there are more trade desks opening up in Dubai? I would like to see about heading out there for a trading position, but mostly Dubai is known for Private Equity at this point.

I'd be interested to know what everyone else thinks or if there is anyone on this board who is already out there.

Russia’s largest investment bank, Renaissance Capital, is trying to steal John Porter. John is the head of equity capital markets for the Middle East and Africa at Morgan Stanley in Dubai. Word on the street is that he hasn’t jumped but as we remember from 80’s cloak and dagger movies, the Russians can be very convincing.

Request the knowledagable folks here on forum to pour there advice as to how can mba graduates network with the industry contacts from IBanking/Private Equity in GCC/Middle East region.
