Leveraged Finance

I'm going to be interning in leveraged finance next summer - can anyone give advice on how to specifically prepare for an internship in this area i.e. particular types of modelling, structures, concepts i should understand. I'll also be doing some restructuring so would appreciate any advice on the technical aspects there also.

Those fellas who work in leveraged finance. Could anyone explain what a typical day looks like as a leveraged finance banker? (pitches, write a CIM, models, etc.) I just started a career in leveraged finance and would like to see how experiences at other firms would look like.

Would appreciate any input.

Can anybody in a LevFin group comment on what current analysts are doing day-to-day? What they see as the future of LevFin? and whether Analysts who will start in July 2009 should even consider joining the LevFin or Financial Sponsors Groups at BB banks?

If I were to join a LevFin group, is there a possibility that the group could get dissolved (kind of like JPM firing so much of its M&A staff)?
