Was it short sellers or bad fundamentals?

It seems that short sellers are under fire in both the U.S. and the U.K. So the question is simple, did short sellers bankrupt Lehman Brothers and AIG? Maybe the question is, how much did they have to do with it?

Fear and rumors? Naked short selling? Whatever happened to fundamentals?

Barclays may bid for Lehman in a last minute rescue effort

It looks as if Barclays may bid for Lehman after it originally turned its back on the failing bank earlier today.

Lehman Bankruptcy Imminent

Turn out the lights, the party's over. Lehman may be bust by midnight. Barclay's has walked and the Chinese are no longer interested, according to various sources. The Fed pledges that they will NOT bail out LEH.

Impact of a Lehman Bankruptcy?

It appears as though if no one steps up to the plate to buy Lehman, the Fed may simply let Lehman go under considering the amount of prep time Wall Street has had. If this happens, any thoughts on impacts and who may be affected the most?
