Prop trading

Is RBC Professional Trader Group legit? I've looked into it and apparently they sponsor your series 7 and it sounds like they just let you loose. It's no salary, no contribution, and you're paid with a percentage of PnL. It all seems sort of suspect. I don't see how you'd succeed without mentoring especially in an environment like this.

Anyone know more about this place? Capital base/reputation/pay/what markets they are players in...

Can anyone tell me abt a prop trading firm called TransMarket Group LLC? Its based in Chicago and a few other places like Singapore, Spain, India, Australia, etc. Their website doesn't say much and they asked me to know more abt what they do before the interview. Anyone who is working there or has friends in any of it's offices?

Interviewing for Prop trading.

I've searched the archives, and I saw several people raise the question, but there was never a definitive answer.

Does anyone know of any prop firms that offer summer internships?

My inital guess is probaly not based on the fact that if you offer a 10 week intership, the intern wouldn't have enough time to actually get a chance to trade since they would still be training you, that is of course if you are at a reputable prop firm, and not just another chop shop looking to make commission fees.

does anybody know anything about this firm/what they do? they don't seem like a traditional hedge fund...

I have a prop trading interview coming up. What type of questions should I expect to be asked? Also, does anybody have an idea of where I can find rankings of prop trading firms? I have applied to a number of firms in Chicago and NYC and would like to know how they all compare to one another.
