Wachovia Full Time Offers?
Curious if anyone has heard anything regarding WB's full time offers to summers?
Definitive Answer: Merrill Offers
I've been browsing through different threads regarding the state of Merrill offers, for both associates & analysts. Different people have been saying different things, across different threads. So I thought that I'd make this thread, dedicated to communicating any news regarding the state of any Merrill offers on the line.
Any new thoughts? Most recently, I think IBnutz has mentioned he's heard from an MD in Healthcare that all offers are likely being pulled as soon as the deal closes. Any insight?
Time To Worry About Class of 2009 Offers?
I accepted an offer back in September from a MM bank. I am beginning to worry that it might be renegged in the coming months if the markets/economy keep on their current path. Are others worried about their offers being pulled?
When to renege during this really shitty market
Earlier this year I received an offer from a company. Although I wasn't much interested in the position, I signed with them so I could solidify a job after graduation just in case I can't get anything else.
Just recently, I received an offer from a company that I am genuinely interested in and signed with them as well. Because I am more interested in this company I plan to renege on my first. The question is when.
The second company notified me that they will be running a background check on me at the beginning of next year. I am kinda worried (although I probably shouldn't be) because one of my past employers that I had on my resume doesn't like me and there is a chance that she might give me a negative remark during the reference check.
Citi offers being rescinded? What's the word?
Curious to know if anyone has heard of offers being rescinded for Citi's IBD. I've got a buddy who has an offer to start in June/July; he hasn't received any bad news yet. What have you guys heard?
Hedging offers
So say that I get an offer from company A and accept. Later on I interview with company B and they give me an offer. I like company B better than company A, but do not renege on company A until the last minute because of fears that company B may go down amidst this shitty market.
Is this a good idea or should I renege ASAP?
Two Offers to Choose From
First off, I want to say thanks to all the posters on this board. WSO has been an invaluable resource in preparation for interview season, and I don't think I could've advanced this far in the recruitment process without all the insights and information on this board.
I recently had a couple Super Days and am fortunate to have received two offers in the process.
