USA graduate

Ok as mentioned before I'm an american student studying in london, and looking to go back to america when I graduate. I've been looking at a number of sites for banks and consultancies and many of the apps start on Oct 1st and end end of oct/early nov., but people here are saying that recruitment is happening NOW.

Is it because U.S schools have already started? Will I have basically no chance as they've already recruited all the U.S. analysts from U.S. schools before they read my resume?
