As an upcoming '09 Analyst I am curious to know how much smaller the new analyst classes will be relative to what they were last year. Anyone have any idea?

I am forcasting for Utilities and was looking for '09 estimates on what prices per kWh were looking to be next year, can anyone point me in the right direction? I know prices have decreased this year and assume they will be lower next year (YOY) but need to assume a rate for this company. Much appreciation.

I'm a junior at Penn majoring in chem and econ.
I want to intern this summer at an investment bank / PE firm / HF, especially if I can do some finance that's related to pharmaceuticals.
I have a legitimate resume (entrepreneurship, private wealth, work experience, very good academics, etc...), and I was wondering if you guys had some advice for me. I really want to go into finance despite this credit crisis. And, I imagine that on-campus recruiting this year will be pretty weak...

Does anybody know if Barclays is recruiting summer analysts in New York?

The app. doesn't list any positions available in New York, but I think it would be unusual if they a) already filled up positions or b) weren't hiring SAs in New York.

I sent an email to BarCap HR but I don't expect a response anytime soon b/c of what is going on w/ Lehman.
