When asked what stocks do you follow/pitch a stock what stocks would you talk about?

So I'm participating in an Investment Challenge at my school and we've been given $100,000 to invest in an equities only portfolio that will be tracked over a 30-day period starting on Monday. Below I've listed what we've chosen for our picks and I was just curious as to what you guys think about our selections. Check it out and give me some feedback.

BTW- We were only allowed to allocate our money thru percentages so I'll put the percentage allocation next to each ticker and the price as of yesterday's close.

See who wins? you can also post what stocks(or cd, mutual fund,etc) u have in yr portfolio in a separate post, but you dont have to. if you say that your portfolio has gone up 100% but it hasnt, you're deceiving only yourself. so to start:

Hey, so i am in the process of opening one. It takes a few days to verify my bank account using ach. so ive been researching stocks a lot lately. and it seems to me that any high school kid could do as well as the most seasoned investor. i mean you can read the companies' financial statements on finance.yahoo.com, there are even links to quarterly reports. and u can use gurufocus to get graphs of whatever data or ratio you want. and u can even play with different models like motley fool and 'value investment' and 'peter lynch', theyre all available online. but even if they werent, it's not like a high school kid couldnt come up with some "model" on how to pick stocks. i mean most of those ratios are quiete useless(except for picking up some red flags).

Who said bankers can't be stock-pickers?

Looking for a professional program that can track investments to various indexes across different time periods and ouput them to excel / some friendly graphical format. The more powerful and functionality, the better. Anyone have any suggestions, really appreciate it, thanks!

While I know there are plenty of scrubs on this site (I myself could be considered one of them to an extent), I think there is also a wealth of knowledge out there as well. With the stock markets getting crushed overall the past few weeks, there must be some very very fundamentally undervalued stocks out there if you are willing to buy and hold for at least a few years while things recover.
