Randomly met an old high school teacher on the street the other day and I just found out that this teacher has a son who is a director at a bank. This teacher wrote my college rec so he knows me real well and now I actually vaguely remember him talking about his son to me a few year back (How would I know what a bank was in high school right?)

In any case I'm still looking for a job and my teacher made an appointment for me to see his son this Monday.

Any advice as to how I can approach this visit and how to make the most out of it? Thanks.

Alright so, a relative of mine gave me the contact information of an MD of a BB's corporate finance division. I've had good rapport with him through emails and Ive spoke on the phone with him once for 20 minutes a couple of months ago. We are meeting this week, and he wants to talk to me face to face before he helps me out.

Does anyone have any ideas on how/if i should prepare? Should i touch up on my dcf analysis/ accounting statements etc...? Is there any thing I should know about corporate finance? Any other suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks

Would submitting your application for BB internships early help? Or do they wait until the deadline to read them anyways?

I have a great opportunity to work shadow a banker at J.P.Morgan for a day next month. What's the best way of making the most of this opportunity seeing as I'll be applying for a spring week at this bank, aswell as a summer internship in 09/10? To those of you who have had people work shadow you before, what characteristics did those who left a good impression have?

I have recently been referred to a Managing Director in S&T who is head of Institutional Sales. I have some general questions to ask, but does anyone here have any insightful topics to discuss or any suggestions for just how to go about leveraging the contact into an SA interview?

What would you take if you wanted to ultimately go to a top business school?

PWM at a top BB (GS/MS) or a top litigation consulting firm (NERA/CRA/Cornerstone). I think I would enjoy the PWM work more but I have the necessary quant skills for litigation.

what are your thoughts on citigroup trading (full-time) in terms of: strength of analyst program, prestige, exit opportunities, etc.? thanks in advance!
