Question about resume changes

I was recently offered a position at a company. When I was interviewing, my resume said major in accounting minor in finance, but I have chosen to drop finance in order to get extra accounting classes so I could sit for the CPA exam.

I know it's not a major change, but do you guys think I should tell HR about this change before the background check?

What would be the best 2nd major in undergrad for IB jobs?

Hi there, I'm just curious what focus of study in undergraduate is most valued by IB recruiters?

I'm currently majored in Finance, and I'm undecided whether I should pursue a 2nd major in Accounting or Economics, or should I just focus purely on Finance.

I know most of the stuff I learn in uni is going to be useless once I get a real job, but by all means if any of the above mentioned area of study is going to be relevant to the job least I'll be more passionate about the subject.

Cheers.

Should I double major?

I'm an econ major at a target school and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to double major in something else like musicology, anthropology, art history, political science, or history.

If it won't give a significant edge in recruiting or later on in my career I'll probably minor in one or two of these subjects and take more varied classes.

Any thoughts?

Are math classes necessary?

I'm an econ major at a target school and the only math I need to graduate is Calc 1 and I have AP credit for that from highschool. Would it be a problem if I didn't take any math in college? Are there any other classes that would really help in S&T?

GPA vs. Major

Hi, I'm a sophomore at Stern undergrad planning on majoring in finance. I'm in the ROTC for both personal and monetary reasons. Finance is definitely the most competitive major so I would be better off majoring in econ at Stern if GPA was my main concern. After I serve in military for 4-5 years, I'm planning on getting an MBA. My question is, does GPA matter so much in MBA admissions that I should maybe switch over to econ? Also, would majoring in finance then getting my MBA seem repetitive? How does MBA schools in general view an undergrad finance degree? Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks.
