summer analyst

What are some good resources for learning a LBO model that I could get conveniently?

What's up yall? I've sporadically checked WSO in the past for help with coverletters, resume advice, opinions on market trends, etc... but this is my first time posting with a couple questions.

Background: Im a junior at an Ivy League target (but not HYP).

I know most people stay in the NYU dorms. How are they? Any other recommendations or feedback in general about the arrangment and process.

I'm considering applying to S&T summer analyst positions abroad. Has anyone had experience in singapore, in particular, Deutsche Bank's summer program? I'm a U.S. student applying there to have something to fall back on in case I can't land anything in New York. I've been to information sessions but there's stuff I can't ask like salary, etc.

Are there any advantages to summering in Singapore?
What's the pay like?
Is it easier to get accepted to summer programs in Singapore?
Would you recommend it and how was your experience there?

I am just curious, what are assessment centres?

I'm a junior at Penn majoring in chem and econ.
I want to intern this summer at an investment bank / PE firm / HF, especially if I can do some finance that's related to pharmaceuticals.
I have a legitimate resume (entrepreneurship, private wealth, work experience, very good academics, etc...), and I was wondering if you guys had some advice for me. I really want to go into finance despite this credit crisis. And, I imagine that on-campus recruiting this year will be pretty weak...
