business development

hey,
I have a buddy who has an interview with CS Alternative Investments- strategy and business development.
I was curious if anyone had some info on this group/maybe has interviewed or maybe knows what type of interview he should expect (more technical or fit interview).

Can anyone explain the difference between business development and corporate development? Is there even a difference? Do different companies use different terms? I'm applying for jobs in both of these areas, and frankly the descriptions sound the same.
