Are these suits appropriate for SA?

Hi, this is my first post. I am looking for a new suit and after doing some research on styleforum.net, it seems that SuitSupply is my best bet.

I really like the Washington fit they offered for its high rise and slim cut pant. However, since there aren't that many options, I am wondering if any of these suits are appropriate for SA.

For the first two, I am worried about the stripes. Are they too bold? Other than that, I really like them.

For the last two, it seems that they are more appropriate, but wearing navy or blue with black shoes just makes me look really awkward.

What do you guys think? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm starting an internship with a business casual dress code, so I'm looking for some pants to rotate.

Where can I buy some slacks and chinos that taper, preferably to a 14'' circumference leg opening? I'd rather not pay more than $100 per pair, but less is better.

Thanks

Guys, I've always struggled to find a decent belt that will hold up until WILL Leather Goods. But, my belt from them that lasted two years, still no bad creases, is starting to fade in color and they have no dress belts in stock.

So, I come to you trying to find another brand. I've got access to Nordstrom's, Macy's, etc. but have never found another brand that seems to hold up well (DKNY was actually the second best I've had) amongst the typical fashion names such as Kors, Abboud, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, etc.

Thoughts? Oh, and I hate the real skinny belts that look like they are made for chicks.

Looking for suits right now and was wondering what is acceptable in terms of going beyond just a solid color. I know that bold pin stripes should definitely be avoided.

Is something like the image attached ok?

And in terms of color, I know to avoid black and to go with Charcoal, Navy, and Grey. However how light can the colours be, are the following too light. (Note: I am only using the images as colour references)

Thanks for the feedback.

My friend in the industry is asking me to get a new watch and a new wallet to suit the financial industry image. He says please get a branded wallet and watch. Currently I am using a casio g-shock and a wallet that costs less than $100 given by friends on my birthday.

He says image is very important and for watches, he asked me to look at swiss watches like omega and for wallets, consider bottega. I looked at their prices online and was like wow.

Is image really that important? What wallets and watches are you guys wearing?

Hi guys,

I am a small Asian guy (5'7'') and as I am looking for dresses for my summer internship I got into trouble finding the shirts and pants that fit me. For example there were no shirts with 30 inch long sleeves ( the smallest one was 32).
Desprerately enough I looked at Brooksbrother's boys apparel but I am not sure if they were professional enough. The shirt has chest pocket but the pants actually look nice:

Are other colors generally not acceptable? Does it make a difference whether it's business casual or business formal?

So I started buying some clothes for my SA stint and was wondering how to properly clean and care for my clothes specifically my suits, shirts, and slacks.

I've read you're only suppose to dry clean your suits and pants a couple times a year so how would I got about caring for my slacks since I wear them more often than my suit. Is it okay to bring them to a dry cleaner and get them "washed and pressed" or will that ruin them?

Typically for suits I just want them to look clean and crisp. They aren't dirty but could have a wrinkle here and there. Suggestions?

For shirts most of mine are non iron so I just wash and dry them at home.

I'm looking to tailor a couple of shirts and pants and want to look for places where I can get the most bang for my buck. Anyone know of any good tailors in DC who do good work for reasonable prices and who actually know what they're doing and won't scam you?

I'm mostly looking to slim my shirts to fit my body (width), shorten the sleeve widths (less poofy), shorten pants length, and maybe slim the pants width and suit jacket width to make it slimmer?

Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Guys,

I'm working in S&T at a BB in NYC this summer. Given that I won't need to wear a tie, what type of collar should I go with in my dress shirts: a collar that is button-down or one that isn't.

Here are the three examples I'm debating between:

Ainsley Collar:

I have an interview coming soon. While obviosuly preferred to have the luxury of a nice suit, my interview clothing will be less than a full suit.

I want the job, however I lack the means to get a good suit jacket.
I am interviewing as a female for a finance position.

I intend to wear polished shoes, pants, dark grey (quality) shirt and tie: either a lightly-patterned tie or a classic black tie, What are the odds of getting dinged, simply for interviewing without the suit jacket?

This is entry for finance/ MF. (Think Wells and small boutiques)

Will I get automatically dinged, and do you have any other suggestions?

And ... feel free to offer any suggestions for the interview itself.

Thank you -

I'm starting my SA stint this summer, and I need a new pair of dress shoes and slim fit dress pants. And when I say slim fit, I don't mean like skinny or really really slim. Just the kind that's slim enough to look good for someone with a small build/height.

Anyone have any recommendations on brands or retailers that sell good quality shoes and dress pants for under $100 each? Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

See title. I like to kick my shoes off under my desk, so no lace ups (also, I'm a lazy bastard). I bought a pair of Moreschi shoes over ten years ago that have elastic bands where laces normally go, which I still wear. Those are my all-time favorite shoes, but they don't make them anymore. Good loafers suggestions would be appreciated. Ideally not Allen Edmonds, Alden, Gucci, or Ferragamo, because I already know or own those. Brown or black is fine. No metal buckles (or whatever those are called). Also, do tassels make you look like a geezer?

Thanks.
