Name ChangeThis is a question with respect to background checks. If I plan on getting married and changing my surname, then do firms have a section as a part of their hiring agreements to indicate any other names used for past jobs, high school, sats, etc? Do all major institutions that I would need going... 1 year 12 months
No Internship Sophomore SummerI already have a few finance related internships from the school year and from freshman summer, so will not having an internship this summer, sophomore summer, be devastating for junior recruiting? I have good grades, strong interviewing skills and I will be networking hard, but I have always heard... 2 years 1 week
Tulane vs. UconnI'm a student currently deciding between attending either Tulane or Uconn as an incoming junior and wanted to get a picture of which would be better from a recruiting standpoint. Tulane will cost $14K more total over the next two years, or 7K more per year, but in either regard I will still... 2 years 1 week

When to start prepping for GMAT?Is sophomore summer too early to start studying for the GMAT? I want to get a top score around a 750, which is why I'm considering starting early. I'm also interested in getting a large/full scholarship from a good masters degree program, like Duke MMS, Villanova MSF or UVA MS Comm, and so I'll... 2 years 3 weeks
Entry Level Exporting JobsIf I'm interested in the exporting industry, so marketing/international business as opposed to finance, how would I go about looking for a strategy job within the industry? Same question for the transportation and telecom industries as well. Is aggressive networking the only avenue and is a state... 2 years 3 weeks
Would it be worth it to transfer?I currently go to an okay state school (rutgers, virginia tech, uconn) and I am contemplating whether to transfer into a school like SMU in Dallas or Tulane in Nola as a junior. Before someone brings it up, Cost ISN'T at all a factor because of financial aid, so don't consider this at all, rather... 2 years 3 weeks
Transfer DilemmaCurrently at a non target state school, rising junior and stupidly applied to transfer into only the very top schools like the ivies, Michigan, Berkeley, etc and got rejected/waitlisted everywhere. I'm in shock because I had excellent grades, test scores and ecs, but bad, rushed essays and very... 2 years 1 month
Transfer DilemmaPlease pick 5-7 schools out of the following list of schools that there's still time for me to apply to. I'm currently at a non target, trying to transfer into a semi target. I'm looking to get into consulting or s... 2 years 1 month
FinanceWould it make any sense to transfer into a school like Villanova/Tulane/Fordham from a non target? I'm a rising junior and most deadlines for other schools like the ivies are done. 2 years 1 month

GRE vs GMATIf you're interested in a PHD in business or a degree related to economics then the gre might make sense, otherwise the GMAT might be more recognizable to employers 2 years 6 days
Not Disclosing SATIt will most likely be looked down upon if you don't send a standardized test score, as the vast majority of applicants likely will. I doubt there would be a reason for the firm to care whether you are lying or not. 2 years 6 days
Why are banking hours looked upon as so awful? Most prospective bankers aren't considering medical fields. Most law school prospectives apply/attend, after acquiring an undergrad liberal arts degree and having no idea what to do with their lives (true in many cases). The hours are a lot no doubt, coming out of undergrad, and it's a big shock... 2 years 6 days

I'm not in IB, so i'm not looking on becoming an expert in the area. Thank you
There are efficient ways to learn, but it's the "free" part that's the problem since all of... 2 years 1 week
No Internship Sophomore Summer
tkid3400: This made me lol, not gonna lie. I definitely agree with this, but how should I explain this gap on my resume? Should I start a finance blog or something? Go do something useful. Volunteer at a local charity, travel to the back arse of nowhere and do... 2 years 1 week
No Internship Sophomore Summer
y don't u go travel/have some fun instead ? You remind me of this guy, courtesy of "The All Nighter". No Internship Sophomore Summer
Some random MM internship is better than nothing.
