Negotiating Promotion and Salary at Current...I need to negotiate soon for a promotion and salary boost, and I'd appreciate everyone's view on how much to ask for and how (well, round out my ideas on how, I suppose) -- prior to this position I was in a much more structured banking program. (PS - I've read most of Harvardgrad'08s classic thread... 1 year 7 months

Enlisted military experience and business schoolWhat's the perception of former enlisted guys among business schools? I tend to think they generally don't know the difference between officer and enlisted. If I highlight the leadership skills I picked up, is it possible I'd be in the same position as a former officer? Seems to me like it could go... 3 years 10 months
What to wear on the first day of workI think either option is pretty safe but I figured I'd go ahead and run this by the crowd. What would you prefer to wear on your first day (bulge bracket risk analyst, business casual): 1) Blue shirt with dark navy trousers 2) White shirt with charcoal gray pinstripe trousers Both with... 5 years 1 month

Or are we still talking about associates? Because for an analyst that seems high as hell. I thought it was more like $90k all in for analyst.[/quote] No,... 2 years 2 months

Too many people look down on it, and it can be easier then getting in from HS (wouldn't say that's always true, though -- the school I transferred to had an acceptance rate from HS of ~20%, but the transfer rate for my major was ~8%). 2 years 3 months

The 1 and the A/C will work as a backup in a pinch as well. I have a similar commute, as do a lot of the other analysts. That commute is super common, and you won't find much faster, e.... 2 years 4 months
