HBS 2+2 for a business major + F500 internshipsB10 school (lower-tier) finance major 3.9 , F500 FLDP internship at 2 different companies, above average EC's, aiming for 720~740 GMAT. Do I have any shot at HBS 2+2? Is it even worth applying? 1 year 11 months
Baird vs. Blair vs. Lincoln vs. Houlihan (CorpFin)Could anyone please "rank" these Midwest mm banks based on 1) PE exit ops 2)Comp 3)Culture? Thanks! 2 years 19 hours
Summer Analysts... How's it Going So Far?I just finished off my first week at a F500. Few things I realized are: work-life balance is overrated when you're living in a place without friends, and boredom is exhausting. How's it going in IBD, summer analysts? Hanging in there? Anyone absolutely love it? Anyone want to never step foot in... 2 years 2 months
How to be a star?Just started a F500 FLDP internship last week. I'm a rising junior and want to go into IBD next summer. After finishing up with orientation, I realize that most kids, if not all kids have 1)top GPA 2)Very good EC 3)good interpersonal/communication skills. Evereyone seems smart and capable. I... 2 years 2 months
Senior Banker vs. PE - Difference?Could someone lay out the main differences between senior bankers (VP+) and PE VP's? I know that bankers have to be good salesmen and play politics well, but how much of that carries on to senior level at PE firms? 2 years 3 months
What do Post-MBA Sr. Associate/VP's do? So I know Pre-MBA role in PE tends to be more modeling focused. However, what do post-mba PE VP's do? How do you perform "well" in their role and move up the ladder? Edit: Curious about MM firms, 2 years 3 months
Don't do an analyst stint if you want to...I've read that saying a couple of times on WSO. I think that there's a slight chance I might want to banking for a long term. Is it really true that you should not do an analyst stint if that's the case? 2 years 3 months
GPA question... Please don't crucify meDisclaimer: I used the search function- I feel like my question might be a little different. I go to college in one of those states that have dual credit HS/College classes in high school, and I took 27 credit hours in high school from a community college and got a 4.0 On my official... 2 years 4 months

Global 500 company exec works 120 hours per week!?Just an interesting story I wanted to share - had a conversation with a family friend who's a junior level executive at Samsung/LG/Sony in Asia. I imagine an exec position at a F500 to be quite cushy in the US. However it's a different ball game in Asia. He mentioned that he goes to work at 6am... 2 years 5 months

In general, I would advise that long-... 1 year 9 months

First, let's get this out of the way: regional offices will obviously have a leg up with buyside recruiting in their locale. As has been mentioned previously,... 1 year 9 months
