McKinsey PSTI think I may have screwed myself on the McKinsey PST I took recently. I was under the impression that it was similar to the Quant test that Oliver Wyman gives, in which wrong answers were penalized. Thinking this way, I left some questions blank. Yesterday, however, I was told by a friend that... 6 3 years 6 months
Oliver Wyman 1st Round InterviewHey everybody! I'm a longtime lurker, first time poster. I have a first round interview coming up with Oliver Wyman GMC for an entry-level consultant position. It's a 30 minute, over-the-phone case interview. (FYI, I have also applied to OW FS, but that app hasn't been responded to yet.) What... 7 3 years 7 months

Because, while there might be fewer spots available, there are also far fewer students gunning for those spots, and honestly, your competition will probably not be as fierce. I have friends that went to Howard, and they are all doing... 6 1 year 4 weeks
I wouldn't necessarily agree with the above. I...I wouldn't necessarily agree with the above. I know many MBB consultants that went into the same roles as people from BBs. Some cases require the same type of modelling that a BB analyst would use. How much in the way of modelling do you think a BB analyst learns in the few months they are on the... 140 1 year 2 months
Well, the guys that work chiefly in strategy...Well, the guys that work chiefly in strategy mainly came from the Monitor acquisition, so I'd say they're slightly higher in the hierarchy. Not in any real way, I've heard the Monitor guys are integrated pretty well, but just in terms of difficulty in getting on certain projects. Strategy is where... 3 1 year 2 months

You might be working a lot more than that, but I highly doubt you'll be billing actuals if you're working 55-60 client hours per week. There are exceptions, and note that I say client work hours.... 1 1 year 2 months
