How do you stay motivated?

This goes out to investment bankers and students alike - how do you stay motivated when it seems sometimes that the constant bullshit you are drudging through (work for bankers, college shit for students) has little meaning and no impact ?

Is the money that much of a driving force for you guys ?? What keeps you guys so cut throat and competitive for so long in life (people with top undergrad -> banking -> top MBA, etc.)

Want legit answers, not something along the lines of "Eye of the Tiger" or something. I am sure it is different for everyone, and would like to hear what it is for people on this forum.

Everyone knows that recruiters love to see teamwork. What are some activites that just scream teamwork to recruiters???

I thought of rowing and rugby for example, but I am looking to see other options that will display your teamwork.

CREAM

best soph year summer internship to land ER @ bb junior year?

I'm a >3.5 FordhamU in NYC for business. Obviously not a target school but has decent name recognition especially in NYC. I want to get into ER full time, preferably with a BB internship in ER after junior year that I can convert to FT. Currently this is my freshman year summer where I've been working on completing online DealMaven Certification Level 1 and relaxing due to some health problems from a recent accident. I won't be able most likely to intern during the school year because of necessary time obligations, so what is the best internship I can hope for after soph year to put me in a good position for a BB ER department after junior year??

Curious about ER

I am really having trouble understand current state of this industry. Some posts indicate you can make huge amounts of money in ER in a good sector at the right IB.

Other posters say ER is like ops and is going to Bangalore within a few years.

1) Is ER being outsourced to the point where it would be stupid to pursue opportunities in it?

Boost a Sales Resume

Hey I am a freshman at a non-target looking to get into sales at a BB. My freshman year summer is approaching and was wondering besides internships what I can do to make myself look better for sales internships/ sales careers.

If anyone who does sales recruiting or is knowledgeable about the topic what would you like to see on a resume?

Cash Rules Everything Around Me

Here is the dilemma. I'm a business major at a semi-target in NYC. I want to make a decent amount of money in life. Reaching 200k-300k after 7-10 years would do it for me.
