Ex-Lehman Banker Commits Suicide

Hi, everyone, just found out from a friend that a former aquaintance, former classmate, ex-lehman banker commited suicide yesterday.
This guy was in his thirties, lost everything as many have on wall street.

My point of this posting is to say that no job loss or financial loss is worth killing yourself for. At the end of the day its only a job and its only money. As long as one has his/her health, everything else can eventually take care of itself.

SECURITIES LENDING at I Banks

Is securities lending considered to be a front office job? Is it difficult to land like IBanking or S&T? What the pay like? I met someone who is an Executive Director(securities lending) at Credit Suisse and he said that his bonus and base was over $1mm. Is there any truth to that? Please elaborate

To make a long story short. I have a friend(American from NYC)who is an international airline pilot for a major carrier in the middle east(Emirates). He is very well compensated for what he does($200,000 pr yr mostly tax-free). Co-Pilot on widebody Airbus aircraft. Flies all around the globe. On the most part has reached the pinnacle of his career at the age of 30.

I have a friend(American-from NYC) who is an International Airline Pilot for Emirates. Flies widebody Airbus aircraft globally. He is very well compensated, $200,000 per year, mostly tax-free. However, he wants to make a move into Banking. IBD or S&T. He is 30 years old and has a BA from a State University. GPA 3.5. Major Basketweeving(general studies).
