Greenhill and Boutiques

So, Robert Greenhill & Co. wrote off a bit of unsubstantiated profit today. My question is... is this the end of the idea of boutique firms?

Boutique vs. Bulge

I know this question has been partially answered on before, but I Have a different spin on the question. Top boutqiues (Evercore, Greenhill) vs top bulge brackets (GS, MS but not on top teams).... which is the smarter choice in the current markets?

Investment Banking to Asset Management

Well, I am half way thru my investment banking internship in London. I am loving the firm but just not sure if IBD is for me. Does anyone know if its common or even possible to be able to switch divisions into asset management? I know that the Sales and Trading move has been discussed but I would love to hear peoples thoughts on this.

London, NY, Dubai

I have a quick question for everyone here. If you do your summer internship at a BB in one city (say London) is it possible to take a fulltime offer with that bank in another city (say NY or Dubai).

Cheers

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on or experience with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst programme? I think that some of the material looks kind of interesting. Not sure if it is comparable to the CFA in terms of material/recognition.
