Taking a job at one of the rating agencies

I am considering pursuing a job at one of the 3 big rating agencies. I know they don't pay very well, but with the way the job market is today the stability is a huge plus. I would eventually like to end up in IBD or Equity Research at a BB. My question is how is a previous stint at one of the big agencies viewed in IBD or equity research and how hard is the lateral.

D1 Athelete but low GPA....

I am interested in a career in S&T and was wondering how much being a Division 1 athelete would help me. My stats in undergrad were not good: non-target, 3.0-3.2 GPA, but im hoping the athletics will help me out. How hard it would be for me to break into S&T? Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Worst Stats of someone who got a FT offer....

Just wondering whats the worst stats(GPA,School, ECs) that you have heard get a FT IBD or S&T offer. Any insight into how he or she did it would be welcome as well. Thanks....
