Got an interview for this, can anyone at CS comment on what they ACTUALLY do? As is typical, job description has a lot of words without really saying anything.

Valuation vs. M&A

Two offers:

1. valuation firm, pretty legit but not top 4, writes some textbooks that are used for CPA exams and in B-school classes, nice pay rate 70% of salary I'd get at a BB over the summer.
2. small M&A practice (only a few senior bankers and myself) within a financial services company most people probably don't know even does M&A, really low pay rate.

Interning at at a prime brokerage?

I'm looking to break into the HF world but have had little success securing an internship (contact roughly 50 funds found randomly online/through alumni so far). Would interning at a prime brokerage with a clearing relationship with Goldman Sachs Securities Lending Group do anything for me or is it a dead-end experience?

So at this stage of the game if I have no SA offers from BB's am I pretty much just SOL? I'm a junior at target 3.7 GPA w/ business school research experience. I'm not deadset on IB, HF, PE, or IM would also be good.

DRW Trading Interview Questions

Got a superday with DRW Trading this weekend, so looking for quick responses from anyone who has experienced 2nd round there or at another fixed income prop trading firm. Questions I got in 1st round were:

Expected value of coin flip game (easy)
How many (5-card) hands are there that give you four of a kind?
Same as above but for full house.
